Section 2
Scan-and-Go Service
Scan-and-Go service is simply that: the art is scanned and then the digital file is given to the artist without further color correction.
An artist may want this service if they color correct the art themselves; or, perhaps they wish to color correct and print the digital file only if the original sells or is damaged.
Scan-and-Go services include scanning your art, setting the gray balance, and saving the file onto a CD as an RGB TIFF. The artist can have the image color-corrected at a later time or location. With this service you will receive:
Your digital file will be industry compliant so that it can be processed on any modern‡ hardware platform and with any major photo-editing software (such as Photoshop, Correl Draw, etc)

Higher scanning resolutions are often available:
example, 300 dpi = the above price + 20%
‡ Depending on the size of the original, the TIFF files can be so large that low-end computers can not process or print them.
The file we provide you is truly a commercial quality 215+ megapixel scan--not some "rez'd-up" digital camera shot. Larger art often results in file sizes of 300 MB or more being saved to the CD.
Low-end print shop computers might be able to call up the TIFF file on their screen, but they may not have the processing power needed to print the file (and that is why we also supply the smaller JPEG file. It can be processed by slower computers, but is not suitable for gallery grade printing.)
**Prices are subject to change. Errors will be corrected verbally or on the next revision.
